The London Assoication of Phi Beta Kappa is an alumni interest group for members of Phi Beta Kappa that reside in the UK. Although we are recognised by The Phi Beta Kappa Society, we are an independent entity based in the UK and governed solely by UK law.

What data do we collect?

We collect the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, social accounts, etc.)

  • Photographs taken during the events we organise (online and in-person)

  • Other data that is shared in the course of editorial contributions and other recorded activity

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online and/or create a member profile

  • Voluntarily complete a member profile or blog contribution

  • Voluntarily participate in a recorded event

  • Voluntarily submit an enquiry or ask to join our mailing list

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

We may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Member information provided to us by The Phi Beta Kappa Society and used in accordance with their guidelines

Your data is stored by Google, Hostinger and where applicable, social media providers including Facebook (Meta), LinkedIn, Twitter/X and WhatsApp (Meta). Your data may also be transferred to the personal devices of those carrying work out on behalf of the London Association of Phi Beta Kappa.

Given the continuous nature of membership, we will keep your data on file unless otherwise requested.

We would like to send you information about our events, as well as those of our partner companies.
